The Washington University Medical Center Alumni Association (WUMCAA) takes great pride in supporting activities and programs of Washington University School of Medicine.
One way WUMCAA supports current students is by allocating financial support to student groups. Each year, students are asked to prepare proposals on behalf of their community service and professional organizations, and the Executive Council carefully considers each request and selects projects to support.
In 2022-2023, more than $30,000 was allocated to student groups and activities:
- Global Health and Medicine
- Med School Musical
- WU Chapter, AOA
- Post-Commencement Reception
- Med Ball
In previous years, WUMCAA has allocated funding to student groups including:
- CHOICES for Youth in Detention
- Connections
- Geriatrics Outreach Group
- LGBTQ Med
- Saturday Neighborhood Health Clinic
- The Young Scientist Program
- Women in STEM
- WUSM Arts Commission
- WUSM Student Musical
