As an alum, you are vital to the success of WashU Medicine. However you choose to be involved, contributing your time and knowledge keeps you connected to WashU Medicine and keeps our community vibrant and strong now and in the future.

The following are ways to get connected with current WashU Medicine students. To participate, contact us at medicaladvancement@wustl.edu.

Dinner with doctors

An informal, alumni-hosted event that connects alumni with current students to foster mentorship, professional development and community. Alumni hosts share insights into their career paths, day-to-day responsibilities and life after training, while offering guidance and building meaningful connections with future alumni. Hosts coordinate the logistics of the dinner or virtual meeting and provide a welcoming environment for conversation, covering the cost of the meal, while the alumni office supports promotion and shares relevant details with participants.

Regional ambassador

As students begin applying to residencies and relocating to new cities, we are seeking alumni ambassadors to help welcome them into their new communities. Ambassadors serve as a local resource, offering guidance, connections and support as students navigate their transition.

Reunion class ambassador

Reunion is better with your classmates — help us spread the word! Volunteer to serve as a class ambassador to help reconnect with classmates and make a positive impact on your class’s experience.

Alumni council

The Washington University Medical Center Alumni Association (WUMCAA) connects a global community of alumni to WashU Medicine and to each other.
