Created in 1989, the Distinguished Alumni Scholarship Program (DASP) grants four entering students per year a four-year, full-tuition scholarship. Each year, the Washington University Medical Center Alumni Association (WUMCAA) Executive Council selects four alumni faculty based on their outstanding citizenship and leadership to honor as namesakes of these scholarships.
The program has played a vital role in recruiting top medical students, regardless of their financial background, and emphasizes the importance of philanthropy at all levels. Additionally, students benefit from the mentorship of distinguished WashU Medicine faculty through their participation in various DASP programs throughout the year.
The alumni community is invited to nominate outstanding alumni from WashU Medicine faculty or emeritus faculty to be considered as faculty honorees for 2026.

Nominations will be accepted until Feb. 17, 2026. Those received after Feb. 17 will be considered for 2027.
