Gifts to the Annual Fund are unrestricted and available for immediate use, which allows the Dean and School of Medicine leadership to fund pressing and high-priority needs. In directing your gift to the Annual Fund, you can choose to designate your gift in support of student scholarships, academic programs, departments and school initiatives.

One-fifth of all MD, MD/MA and MD/PhD students receive scholarship support from the Annual Fund.
29 MD classes have created endowed class scholarships.
In 2021–2022, Annual Fund donors raised $1.1M in support of annual scholarships.
Between 2018 and 2022, the number of MD students who received scholarships increased by 20%.
On average, nearly $49,000 of annual unrestricted gifts from MD alumni and former house staff is allocated to student organizations and community service projects. Learn more about these projects and the work of our alumni association.
Annual Fund support to programs within the School of Medicine allow leadership to have immediate expendable funds to directly impact student success, facilitate innovative research and fund our community engagement programs.
